all of the below
starting an Ogee Tunic

sadly empty, a bottle of Root

crust waiting to be filled with apple/cranberry/currant filling (highly recommend Cook's Illustrated tip to replace half of the water in the pastry with 80 proof spirits)

Main Entry: 1re·cess
Pronunciation: \ˈrē-ˌses \
Function: noun
Etymology: Latin recessus, from recedere to recede
Date: 1531

1 : the action of receding : recession
2 : a hidden, secret, or secluded place or part
3 a : indentation, cleft "a deep recess in the hill" b : alcove "a recess lined with books"
4 : a suspension of business or procedure often for rest or relaxation "children playing at recess"

So--did you make the crust with Root Beer liquer? How was it?

ps lov ethe poppy. I'v ebeen wanting to knit leaves and seaweed all winter.
I used vodka, but the CI editors claim all the liquor burns off so any 80 proof spirit can be used and will not leave its taste.

Knitted seaweed! Yes, please.
